FOOLPROOF

Privacy Policy

The only page in Foolproof that doesn't lie to you.

Effective date: 11 October 2026

This policy covers the Android game Foolproof (package com.prismtech.foolproof), which we call "the app" below.

The short version

Foolproof has no accounts, and we collect no personal data. Your progress is saved only on your phone. The Android app shows ads from Google AdMob between pages; to show them, Google's ad software collects some device data, described below. Remove ads (a one-time purchase) turns the ads off.

What we collect

Nothing. We (Prism Tech, the developer) run no servers for the game and receive no personal or device information from it: no name, email, contacts, photos, location or usage statistics. We do not sell data. The one exception is Google's advertising software described in the next section, which runs inside the app.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The Android app shows a full-screen ad between pages now and then (never in the first five pages, never right after a break, never during a speedrun) and offers an optional video ad to skip a page you are stuck on. These ads are served by Google AdMob. To show them, measure them, limit how often you see the same one and prevent fraud, Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:

This data is encrypted in transit. Google's use of it is described in how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices: in the EU, EEA and UK the app asks for your consent with Google's own consent form before personalised ads, and you can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & ad choices. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings (Privacy → Ads). Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.

Remove ads (purchase)

Remove ads is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your payment details. Google Play only tells the app that you own Remove ads, and the app remembers that on your phone. If you reinstall, Google Play restores it.

Daily reminder and sharing

What is stored on your phone

To remember your game, the app keeps a small save in its own private storage on your device (the app's local storage). The save holds:

This save never leaves your device through the app. Other apps cannot read it.

Deleting it: use Settings → Progress → Reset in the game, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling deletes the save from the phone.

Android backup: if you have turned on Android's own device backup to your Google account, Android may include this save in that backup and restore it on a new phone. Google runs this backup under your Google account settings. We have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's backup settings.

Permissions

Children

Foolproof is made for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences, and we knowingly collect no data from children.

Changes to this policy

Version 1.1.0 added ads, Remove ads, the daily reminder and sharing; before it, the app had no internet access at all. If this policy changes again, we will update this page and the effective date above before that version is released.
