Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Smart Spend AI mobile application ("the app", "Smart Spend AI") operated by Prism Technologies ("Prism", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we handle it. Please read both.

Who can use the app

Smart Spend AI is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, please do not use the app.

What Smart Spend AI is

Smart Spend AI is a personal-finance app that lets you track income and expenses, set budgets and savings targets, and chat with an in-app AI assistant called Prism AI for general guidance about your own finances. Most of your data stays on your device; chat messages are processed by our server so Prism AI can reply.

The app does not connect to your bank, hold your money, or process real payments to third parties. Any figures you see are based only on what you enter yourself.

Not financial advice

Smart Spend AI, including anything Prism AI tells you, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not professional financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it does not create any advisor–client relationship.

Your account and your data

Smart Spend AI does not use traditional user accounts or logins. The information you enter is stored on your device, and you are responsible for keeping your device secure. Uninstalling removes the data stored inside the app from your device. Optional Google Drive backups and backup files you saved elsewhere remain until you delete them separately.

How we handle the limited data that reaches our server is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

When using Smart Spend AI, you agree that you will not:

• Use the app for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, hack, or interfere with the app or the Prism AI server;
• Try to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data;
• Overload, disrupt, or abuse the service, including the AI chat feature;
• Use the app to build a competing product or to scrape or resell its content; or
• Misuse Prism AI to generate unlawful, abusive, or misleading content.

We may suspend or limit access to the service if it is being misused in a way that harms us, other users, or the app.

Purchases and subscriptions

Some features of Smart Spend AI may be offered as paid in-app purchases or subscriptions. Any such purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's own payment terms — we do not collect or store your card or payment details.

• Billing: Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your Google Play account settings.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. Contact us if you have an issue and we'll try to help.

Where in-app purchases are not yet available, this section applies as and when such features are introduced.

Advertising

Smart Spend AI shows ads served by Google AdMob to help keep the app free. Your use of ad-supported features is also subject to Google's terms and privacy policy. How ad data (such as the advertising ID) is handled — and your consent choices in the EU, UK, and California — is explained in Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, branding, name ("Smart Spend AI"), logos, and content we provide are owned by Prism Technologies and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

The financial entries and notes you create yourself remain yours. You keep responsibility for the accuracy of what you enter.

Disclaimers

Smart Spend AI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that Prism AI's responses will be accurate, reliable, or suitable for your situation.

You use the app and rely on its outputs at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prism Technologies will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or financial losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) Smart Spend AI or your reliance on Prism AI's outputs.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Smart Spend AI at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access to the service, or discontinue the app or any feature, at any time — for example, if you breach these Terms or if we stop operating the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property) will continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update this page and bump the version and effective date at the top, and — where the change affects you significantly — we'll show an in-app notice. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Prism Technologies' principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled by the courts having jurisdiction there, unless mandatory local consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
